Deputy President William Ruto on Friday left parents and graduands at the Chesta Teachers’ Training College in stitches after he told young people to take advantage of the cute girls who enroll in the institution and win their hearts.

Speaking in Swahili, Ruto told the men that good girls are enrolled in the institution and should ensure they win them as that will also fight tribalism.

Local men are mostly the Pokot who are known to engage in cattle rustling.

“Sasa nyinyi wangwana pia mhakikishe hawa kina Atieno wanakuja hapa wengine wanabaki. Badala ya kumangamanga ukitafuta ng’ombe ya kuiba, wewe tafuta network kwa hawa warembo ili wabaki hapa. Hii itatusaidia pia kupigana na ukabila,” the DP said.
