The County Government through Chief Engineer John Mosoti announced release of Sh2million for completion of the project at Ritibo Buying center on Friday.

“The dispensary had stalled due to understandable reasons to many of you but we have decided to give a solution to the predicament. Governor Nyagarama sent me here today to pronounce good news,” he said.

According to him, the dispensary will be under close monitoring from the county government to avoid misappropriation of funds and fraud that marred initial construction.

“To avoid a repeat of what happened, we will be supervising the construction. To this end, let the contractor be aware of our repeated presence,” he added.

Residents led by Mzee Stanly Makana said the project will enable more than 30,000 inhabitants of the village receive treatment in an expeditious manner by avoiding travelling to distant places.

“On behalf of this multitude, let me sincerely thank the county leadership for this massive support. We will receive treatment easily once they finalize construction,” he said.

He called for apprehension and prosecution of previous management over what he termed ‘fraud and incompetence’ in their eight years of management.

“They should explain why they’d taken long despite leadership changes in our constituency. Change in leadership cannot hamper projects that had been budgeted for. They should face the law,” he said.
