Kisii County residents have lauded the national government for the recently introduced Huduma Centre initiative.
John Ogamba from Marani Sub County said it has now become easier for one to access government services such as application and replacement of Identity Cards (IDs).
Huduma Centre has made execution of government functions easier since it is readily accessible.
“Previously we were subjected to long and tiresome processes. The State has done something extraordinary and they sincerely deserve credit,” said Ogamba.
Ogamba added that for now, government services are easily accessible and more efficient.
“I am really happy for the Huduma Centre its helping us to save time. The government has made us proud,” said Ogamba.
Ken Onyancha from Bomachoge-Chache constituency said, “The Huduma Centre has tremendously improved government services. It has also brought them closer to the mwananchi.”
He added that the centre will help to bar the civil servants from asking for bribes for wananchi.
“We can now access government services in a much transparent manner. I remember few years ago when government officials used to ask for bribes in order for them to serve us,” he said.
Onyancha urged the government to further devolve the services to rural areas to make services more accessible.
