Ng’ang’a, who is leading in the arrangements together with Kiambu Senator Kimani Wamatangi, said that the residents have mourned the deceased in one heart and she is impressed with the unity they are portraying in this time of sorrow.

She said that the incident has brought about togetherness in the area to an extent of reducing the political heat which has been bringing about the conflicts and wrangles in Kiambu in the recent past.

The legislator has called on the residents to maintain the brotherhood they have shown during the time of mourning their leader, the late George Muchai and give room for investigations which, according to her, will reveal the culprits in the assassin.

“Let peace prevail in this area as we wait for the investigations to apprehend the perpetrators and let us stand firm with the bereaved family,” said Ng’ang’a.

Ng’ang’a added that she will stand firm with the family and mourners of the late MP Muchai and let peace prevail in the area terming Muchai as a good friend and hard working leader who united all his constituents.

She has however urged police officers probing the incident to fast-track their investigations to calm the irate residents who have lost their beloved leader through a fierce assassination by unknown people.

The lawmaker was speaking in Kanyariri area of Kabete Constituency on Monday evening when she arrived for the funeral arrangements.
