Residents from Nyamira County have challenged the police to investigate the killing of a couple in Mobamba village, Bonyamatuta location, saying it has frightened them.
According to the residents, it is shocking for such incidents to continue taking place although the police promised to protect them.
This comes after a husband and a wife were allegedly killed on Saturday Night at Kebirigo for the main reason yet to be established.
Lydia Mogaka, a resident who spoke to this writer said they are living in fear due to the rise in crimes in the area.
“If this is the way Nyamira is going, then we are going to lose a lot of people and property. We urge the police to strengthen security so that we can have peace in going about our daily activities,” she said.
On his part, Joshua Nyasimi called on all stakeholders to come up with solutions that will help address insecurity in the area.
But Nyamira OCPD Rico Ngare said they have launched investigations into the incident.
