Residents of Nyaribari Chache Constituency have raised concerns over delayed CDF bursary allocations.
On Saturday, while speaking at Keumbu area, the locals asked the area MP Richard Tong'i to explain why application forms are not out until now.
"It is now 5 months since Tong'i took oath of office, no activities ongoing at the CDF offices. We want to know why he has not directed the application forms to be sent to various ward offices so that parents can apply for the funds to help them settle school balances," resident Geoffrey Ombongi said.
Ombongi said in other constituencies such as Kitutu Chache South, parents started applying for the funds last month and the same should happen in the Nyaribari Chache.
"Parents have fee balances and they are expecting to clear before mid February, Tong'i should come out and say when the application process will start," he added.
Another resident Jared Abuga said they trust the MP hence he should not frustrate them.
"We voted Tong'i because we know he is a performer. As residents, we don't expect him to frustrate the electorates by delaying bursary funds which will boost parents to pay fee balances they owe various schools where their children are studying," Abuga said.
