As National Super Alliance (NASA) ardent supporters took to the streets to push for implementations of reforms in the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) residents of Ajigo sub location Siaya County held a different demo, Wednesday.
The residents demonstrated demanding the removal of area Assistant Chief Emily Odumo from office over heightened insecurity in the area.
The residents who held demonstrations in Bondo town and Ndira trading centre accused the assistant chief and a village elder John Odongo of abetting crime and engaging in illegal activities in the area.
In solidarity, they marched to Bondo Deputy County Commissioner’s (DCC) office demanding the immediate ouster of the administrator and her staff from office after which a probe team to be instituted to unearth the mysterious murder incidences in the area.
In a letter copied to Siaya County Commissioner, area OCPD and Administration Police Commandant Bondo Sub County, the residents accused the area assistant chief of conspiring with suspected criminals who live within the community.
The petition was presented to the area DCC Mr Richard Ajwang also accused Odumo of soliciting of bribes from illicit brewers and also perpetually being absent from her office.
The residents have therefore called for speedy investigations into seven murders incidences happening in a row including the recent murder of Mama Teresa Ocholla whose body was found along the banks of river Yala.
