Speaking on Tuesday in Masinga town, Stephen Muindi a businessman stated the act was unacceptable as the tanks were supposed to benefit Masinga residents.

"It's surprising how Machakos government ordered tanks to be taken from the DOs office to an unknown place we don't know yet we have the right to benefit from especially now when there is a shortage of water.

However, the Machakos county Chief officer in charge of Water, John Kilonzo noted that the ministry of water had just used Masinga offices as a store.

"Masinga was just a storage area, otherwise, the tanks are supposed to benefit different primary schools and borehole sites," said Kilonzo.

According to Machakos county government, information concerning the destination of the tanks is available, showing the exact schools and sites where the tanks belong.
