Fear has engulfed residents in Likoni over the emergence of a criminal gang known as 'Young Killers'.
The gang is said to have been operational for close to two months now.
According to The Star, members of the gang are usually armed with crude weapons including poisoned arrows.
It is said that they walk with dogs during odd hours of the day and night with the aim of terrorizing residents.
Reports indicate that the gang comprises of teenagers as young as 13.
The members are reported to carry out their criminal activities in different areas including Majengo Mapya, Jamvi la Wageni and Soweto.
It is believed that some of the gang members hail from Kwale County, while others are believed to be former members of the Wakali Kwanza group.
Led by Fred Musyia, who claimed he is among the 50 people who are said to have suffered in the hands of the gang, residents in the area have called upon the county and national governments to work together in taming the gang.
The residents have urged the police to swing into action and smoke the gang members out of their hideouts.
