According to the residents, the land was sold by brokers last week and beacons erected in it and they have now appealed to the Nakuru CeC for Land Rachael Maina to come in and help solve the riddle concerning the rising cases of land grab.

The angry residents uprooted the beacons before putting up a “ land not for sale ” sign at the land.

They said a prominent businessman who recently relocated to the area has started cultivating the land after he bought the land not aware that brokers had conned him off.

They called on the county government of Nakuru to clear the bill or hand over management of the water project to the community.

They pointed out that if the borehole could be functioning, land brokers would not have found the opportunity to sell off the land.
