Several complaints have emerged from residents in Karen to the Managing Director of the National Environment Management Authority (NEMA) Prof Geoffrey Wahungu over Starehe Mp aspirant Steve Mbogo for disturbing the peace with his helicopter.
As a result residents in the community under an unified body called Karen Residents Association (KARA) has become a nuisance and are they for cautioning the politician from continuing to disturb the peace.
As a result KARA has sent a letter to Wahungu, Governor Sonko and Inspector General of Police Joseph Boinett calling on them to take action.
“We hereby write to notify your office of constant complains from our members residing along Bogani Road, Marula Lane and Karen Road. Mr Steve Mbogo’s helicopter noise has affected their right to enjoy comfortable night sleep and is continuing to inconvenience them and their families,” read the letter in part.
KARA also reported the issue to the Karen Police Station on November 23. Mbogo responded to the letter by agreeing to report to that station under the condition that the station should have enough space for him to land his chopper.
