Kibera residents on Tuesday expressed their views concerning the case which the deputy president, William Ruto and former radio presenter, Joshua Sang were facing at the International Criminal Court (ICC).

The trial chambers ruled in favour of the two as they were said not to have any case to answer. This came just two days after Ruto said he was confident that the case was going to be terminated. However, the ICC has asked the prosecutor to appeal in case she feels the ruling was not well made.

One of the Kibera residents, Michael Amunga said he was sure that the case was going to be terminated because the court was not willing to get more witnesses. He congratulated Ruto and Sang on their victory.

Another resident, Gladys Paroka congratulated the duo and attributed their victory to God saying their prayers really worked.

‘’I really have to congratulate the deputy president and Sang because they trusted in God and focused on him for victory. God has been faithful and given them the desires of their hearts. I pray that God will give them more grace in the future to continue winning any battle they go through,’’ another resident said.
