The roads in Kiambu have been in a poor state especially during the rainy season where motorists were having hard time entering Mashinani due to poor state of road.

The residents had earlier complained to the area MP that they rather plant bananas along the Ngehu road instead of using it as a road since it was in a very bad condition.

The cries of the residents finally came to stop when Njomo stormed the area and started paving way to make the road passable to motorists.

According to Njomo, the construction will take up to July and has urged the members of the public to be patience and the job will be well done.

“Give me six months and the road will be passable to the people and motorists thus their farm produce will be in the market always,” he said

The legislator said that 2015 is a Jubilee year not only to the country but his constituency and he will not stop until the roads are well constructed to allow investors into the constituency.

He said that farmers will have no reason to complain for poor road that they could not transport their farm produce to the market and urged farmers to till their lands for a better tomorrow.

The law maker however lauded the residents for their patience and not losing hope in him promising more to come by the end of the year.

“I still have other development to come, thus I request for your patience to make the dream come true,” Njomo said.

The law maker was speaking today at Ngehu village in Kiambu.
