The connections done by Gusii Water Services Board in partnership with a local NGO  at a cost of Sh50million will also benefit residents of Ogembo town and its environs.

This comes as a great relief to residents who used to draw water from streams and various rivers in the constituency.

"This project is going to benefit locals including those that reside in other constituencies. Its a project that is going to minimise the threat of contracting water-borne diseases" said Ms Irene Ogutu.

Ms Ogutu also hit on the current Kisii county leadership, saying that it was doing little to deliver the promises it made to the electorate.

"The Governor since 2013 has received over sh 15 billion but he has done nothing on matters development during his tenure," she said.
