There was drama at Otonglo area in Kisumu on Saturday after residents accused a reverent of using witchcraft.
The reverent from Mombasa had arrived with the family of one of the residents, John Okello, who had come for a funeral ceremony.
Three days later, the reverent conducted a crusade at the village where relatives and family members of the aggrieved attended.
However, the night crusade was dramatic as the reverent summoned 'evil members' of the community one by one, and warned them to stop witchcraft.
She claimed that one of the women at the funeral had hidden a big snake in a bush about one Kilometre away and was practicing evil acts.
After all the drama, a section of residents teamed up on Saturday morning and confronted the reverent to stop using witchcraft in preaching the word of God.
"She has supernatural powers. She looks at you in the eye and says everything," said one of the resident.
The reverent, however noted that she has never used supernatural powers, adding that she was a believer in christianity just like other normal pastors.
“I have never been told such things everywhere I have gone. They are angry because I made this revelation. I have never been involved in witchcraft,” she said.
