Nakuru Town West residents have moved to court to block fund officials appointed by area MP Samuel Arama from assuming office.
The residents accuse the legislator of ignoring some communities while appointing officials of Nakuru Town West National Government Constituency Development Fund (NG-CDF).
In their petition, the 24 residents claim that Arama, who is one of the three respondents, ignored the Kalenjin community while appointing committee members.
They argue that their right to fair administration was violated as none of their members was appointed despite the fact that they are a dominant tribe.
On Tuesday, the High Court in Nakuru barred the new officials of NG-CDF from taking office.
Justice George Odunga also issued temporary orders to stop the committee from allocating money from the fund until the petition is heard and determined.
