Despite the Ministry of Health taking a step of distributing drugs to all public dispensaries in the county, these drugs are always out of stock in most of the dispensaries.

People who seek medication from these dispensaries are always directed to buy drugs from some particular chemists within the areas which raise so many questions among the residents as to where the supplied government drugs have gone to.

You will never find any drug at any given time, some dispensaries even lack things like HIV test kits.

“Why must we die while our taxes are being spent on purchasing those drugs," asked Catherine Ondigo a resident.

Mrs Catherine noted that she went to Nyamagundo dispensary in Bomariba ward Kisii South sub-county for a pregnancy test.

The health officers directed her to private chemists for blood and urine test meaning that the dispensary lacked even the simplest testing equipment.

Veronica Osoro another resident said she went for medication at Isamwera dispensary where she was admitted but her family had to buy drugs from a private chemist for her to complete her medical dose since the health officers said there were no drugs in the stock.

Residents now urge the leaders and the ministry of health to intervene and save the people from this cruelty.

Evans Siocha a health officer at Isamwera health center denied the allegation terming it as false.
