Machakos residents have expressed their disappointment towards Machakos governor Dr Alfred Mutua over 'fake' investments.
This is after meeting representatives of square pharmaceuticals Wednesday.
According to Mutua the investors will invest over 20 million Us dollars in a dosage manufacturing plant in Machakos county.
The First phase plant construction will commence in the third quarter 2017 with supply of products starting in 2019. The company is also set to invest an additional US$12million for the second phase planned to begin in the last quarter of 2018.
This is not the first time Mutua has met such delegations and made promises similar to that. This indeed has angered locals and they responded through comments to his post.

Ones Mwanthi said, "You meet and talk to alot of investors, but how many have ever really kicked off? 1,2,3............and what happened to the machakos city?."
Strange Bird said, "Bwana Mutua you have held so many meetings with various investors. You don't give any progress after the meetings. I'm worried".
