The residents of Nduru have threatened to burn down the houses of the two Mcas who were arrested on Monday evening for allegedly defiling underage high school girls if they won’t be arraigned in court and charged within the next 24 hours.
Led by the relatives of the allegedly abused underage girls they said that for now, they have entrusted the police and school administration to ensure that the right action is taken.
They said Nyakoe ward MCA Mr Cosmos Saka and his Masimba ward counterpart Joash Orora were allegedly trying to bribe the police but the residents have asked the officers to practice integrity for the children to get justice.
The relative who sought anonymity due to their security said they are alert and in case the police don't take the correct measures they will take their own action.
“We are waiting for the verdict and we believe the two will be arraigned in court and charged before the end of the 24 hours,” added one of them
The two MCAs were arrested on Monday evening outside Nduru Girls High School having a Nissan Sunny car registration number KBJ 741N.
They are currently held at Nyamarambe Police station and the girls are still in hospital waiting for the doctor's results.
