This has led residents to demand that bumps be established on that road.

On Tuesday, an accident involving a trailer left six people injured and property destroyed.

The next day, on Wednesday, another lorry overturned at night along the same road but luckily did not hurt anybody.

On Friday morning, yet another lorry overturned on the same road and almost fell on people selling at kiosks nearby. Residents have been urging the government to put bumps on that road, but it has turned a deaf ear to their plea.

James Mwangi, a resident said they are tired of witnessing accidents there and losing their loved ones. He added that since he moved to reside in that area, over eight accidents have happened along that road.

A fruit vendor, Joseph Maina, said they are tired of always complaining to the government for bumps to be put on that road, saying they spent over half a million to treat his nephew who was hit by a speeding lorry on the said road.

Kabete OCPD Joseph Ongaya warned the drivers against speeding saying whoever caught with the offence will face the law.

Residents now say they will use other ways to lay their demands if their wish is not fulfilled.
