The residents met with their representatives to see how to see into ways through which security could be enhanced in the area after complaints of theft and attacks were rampant in the area.

The meeting, which was held on Wednesday at World Vision Car Park, was called by the residents’ chairman Charles Nyawina.

Nyawina said that the area has suffered insecurity with residents being attacked at night, houses broken into and cars being broken into and batteries stolen.

“We have been complaining to the police for so long and now what we need is action to help reduce these cases. Our security starts with us and that is why we need to act fast in securing ourselves,” said Nyawina.

The residents resolved that perimeter wall be built to enclose the estate and gates leading to it be built.

Secretary Savo Ochieng told this writer that the residents agreed to contribute towards the purchase of the materials needed for the perimeter wall and the gates.

“We are going to build a high perimeter wall to limit the movements of strangers or thieves in the estate and have around four gates leading into the estate. The residents have agreed to contribute towards this project, which we expect to commence as soon as possible,” said Savo.
