Numerous suggestions and recommendations were collected from concerned residents who turned up for the second and last day of the public consultation forums for the Mombasa County Government Budget for financial year 2018/2019.
The forums that covered Changamwe, Jomvu and Likoni Sub-counties brought in different participants who deliberated well on the draft document as they urged the relevant departments to consider more allocation on health, environment, transport and Infrastructure, youth programmes among others.
County Executive Committee Members, Chief Officers from different departments together with officers from the Sub-county Administration took note of the views shared on Friday and memoranda forwarded for action.
County officials promised the public that they will take into consideration their proposals so as to ensure an all inclusive development agenda for Mombasa.
