Residents of Nakuru have been urged to make good use of Huduma Centre so as to realize its benefits in public services. While talking to this writer in his office on Friday, the centre’s director Francis Njoroge observed that many residents of the town and its environs were not yet aware of the services that are aimed at enhancing efficiency in public service delivery by the central government. Njoroge advised those residents who had benefited from the advanced service delivery by the centre to inform others about the efficiency. He further advised residents of Nakuru to be vigilant against con people who pose as employees of the centre who are out to swindle money from them. “This centre has not received the required publicity about its services. Members of the public must know about our services and come for them. We do not charge any money unless for specified issues. Wananchi should be wary of con people who may want to swindle money out of them,’’ he said. He added that those applying for passports, National Identification Cards, and many more enquiries about other government services should visit the centre that is located along Kenyatta Avenue at the Posta building opposite the National Bank of Kenya. Njoroge noted that Huduma Centre that was unveiled by President Uhuru Kenyatta late last year was aimed at centralizing important public services.
