Speaking during the inspection of the project area legislator Stephen Mule said that people should not resist the construction of the road as it will benefit them.

The road is expected to be 10 metres wide and there has been some resistance from some residents who claim that their farms have been cut and crops destroyed.

However, the MP has urged the residents to cooperate where he assured to have a baraza with them on August 15 to discuss the way forward.

"I would like to urge the residents to allow construction to continue because this road will benefit them and I want to assure to hold a baraza with them on the 15th to discuss with them so they should not worry, " said the MP.
