Ndeiya and Ngesha Wards MCAs have appealed to the residents of the two wards to help the Police in investigations following the mysterious deaths of three people recently in separate incidences.

Nelson Munga of Ndeiya, has asked Kiambu County Commissioner Esther Maina to heighten security in the area, saying the many cases worrying.

"The Commissioner is aware of the things that have been here in Ndeiya and we want her to beef up security, to make sure everyone is safe and can go about their business without worrying about security,” said Munga.

"There have been cases of burglaries in our schools especially now that the children are on holiday, many cases now,” he added.

He however appealed to residents to volunteer information on criminals living among them, saying it the only way to help curb the menace.

"We have a responsibility of ensuring that we are safe. Insecurity must be fought by all of us, and it starts with you,” said Munga.

On his part, Simon Gashumi of Ngesha Ward asked the residents to take Nyumba Kumi initiative seriously.

"We are not taking ‘Nyumba Kumi’ seriously, which is key to our security and our country's security," said Gashumi.

The two were addressing journalists in Limuru town on Thursday.
