Kola residents in Machakos central ward have asked for the reconstruction of Ikiwe river drift, Kamweleni area.
The drift was swept late last year when heavy El-Nino rains were experienced countrywide.
According to residents, area Member of the National Assembly Victor Munyaka knows how bad the situation but has done nothing about it.
"We elected Munyaka to serve us but we don't know what has been happening," one of the residents said.
They said that since the drift was swept away, they have seriously been suffering especially when it rains as they are forced to use longer ways to get to their homes from Machakos town where most of them run their businesses.
They added that they won't get tired of pleading for help from either county government of Machakos or from the national government and vowed to storm in Mp Munyakas' offices in town demonstrating peacefully until when their grievances will be looked into.
