Residents along Nyankongo, Denmark and Egesa routes have complained about excess dust from the moving vehicles along Kisii- Kisumu road.
This has come barely three weeks after the County contractors said that they had started attacking the road before they disappeared after filling potholes on the road.
The filling of potholes has seen drivers speeding along the 12 kilometre rough road generating a lot of dust to the surroundings.
"We are now forced to go to the river and sprinkle water on the road. Is this our work or it should be done by the County and National Government?" Posed Mr Eric Omari a local.
Damacline Omanga, who runs a hotel said she is forced to wipe tables after every five minutes to eliminate the dust.
"I do wipe this furniture after every five minutes so that my customers get a good place to purchase food," she said.
The residents now want Kisii Governor James Ongwae to build the road.
"Why is he neglecting a road that leads to his home? We expect him to be on the forefront in ensuring that it is attacked," he said.
