Nominated MCA Farida Salim said health should be improved by allocating funds for health facilities and streamlining the personnel to give proper service.

She noted that there are a lot of delays in hospital deliveries and measures should be put in place to improve the sector.

“Let’s improve the health sector by allocating funds to improve the locals’ lives through an improved healthcare system,” said Salim.

Kisumu County chairperson Audi Ogada challenged the government to allocate funds towards improving health sector saying that service delivery was poor as patients were staying for long hours in queues before they were attended to.

Speaking at Tom Mboya Labour College, Audi challenged the county government stating that a lot needed to be in place to improve health sector by all locating funds to purchase equipment for hospitals.

“The health sector needs to be improved by allocating funds in purchasing and streamlining the health personnel to see locals’ lives improved,” said Audi.
