The residents’ call comes in the wake of continued mounting pressure on the county government from a section of elected members of parliament to equitably distribute resources. Speaking to our reporter on Monday evening, Nakuru Residents Association Chairman, Simon Sangale said that the continued row among the elected leaders in the county is the main cause of all stalled and delayed project implementation in the county.

Sangale said a lot of time has been spent on political wrangles among leaders at the expense of delivering on their campaign pledges made to the electorate in last year’s general elections, thereby derailing the county’s economic progress.

“If the trend of political bickering continues, then there will be nothing worthwhile for these elected leaders to show to the public as time will have caught up with them, said Sangale.

A member of the group, Stephaniah Wanjiru said that the prime objective of all elected leaders is to improve the living standards of its people by creating avenues where they can access business opportunities among other goodies.

Wanjiru urged leaders to desist from tussles and begin reading from the same script for the sake of county’s development while serving the public in most satisfactory manner.
