Locals who spoke to this writer in Garissa town disclosed that the county has been facing serious water and sewerage services in the county, a fact they attributed to cartels at the county department.

In July this year, residents of Bulla Sheikh village took to the streets in protest of the failure by the county government to repair a damaged sewer line that led to food vendors closing their businesses in fear of contracting diseases.

However, there are high expectations in terms of service delivery from the water board, especially after last week's meeting where governor Jama directed the board members to deliver their best.

Led by their chair Mohamed Sheikh alias Mohamed Klay, the water board issued that they will work together as a team to deliver water to all various corners of Garissa town.
