Olenguruone OCPD, David Wambua, warned the residents against taking the law into their own hands saying it is illegal.

The warning came a day after the angry residents stormed the health centre and attacked health workers and destroyed property at the health facility after they accused the health centre of poor service delivery.

Speaking in Olenguruone town Wambua said that he will personally deal with anybody who will be found inciting residents to attack health workers.

“If residents have any complaints against the health workers then they should use the right mechanism in channelling their complaints rather than attacking people and destroying property. The problem will not be solved by breaking windows and beating people. This habit must stop because it is criminal,” said Wambua.

He added, “Those who broke windows and destroyed property must be ready to face the law because we are looking for them.”

The residents had called for transfer of health officials at the health centre saying that they have failed to perform their duties.
