Bahati constituency parliamentary aspirant Peter Nderitu said that investors from outside are taking advantage of the potential business growth along the busy highway to lure residents into selling them their land.

Speaking at Mailisita village, Nderitu said that the residents are selling their land at throw-away prices and warned that they would regret later.

He lashed at land buying and selling agencies that have set camp along the highway for robbing poor residents of their most valuable belongings.

“There is a huge growth of business along the Nakuru-Nyahururu highway and people are taking the opportunity to buy land from locals at very poor prices and I want to advise my people to desist from this habit of selling land just for the sake of it,” said Nderitu.

Nderitu told the residents that time will come when land buyers will be looking for them and they will have an opportunity of selling their land at the prices of their choice.

“These people will come looking for you but for now, just relax and stop being too desperate to get some quick money by selling your land,” he said.
