Amani National Congress party leader Musalia Mudavadi has called upon the IEBC officials to resign saying Kenyans had lost trust in the commission.

He urged the commissioners to peacefully resign and not wait to be forced out of office.

“We need to give ample time to come up with a team that will not be involved in electoral malpractices such as corruption and tempering of tallying machines," said Musalia.

He was speaking at Mutsuyu Primary School in Vihiga County during a requiem mass for Zipporah Kadogo.

He said Kenyans have lost trust in the commission which cannot foresee the coming general elections as a result of trust issues and corruption.

“Kenyans have lost hope with the commission and there is no way it can run the general elections,” said the ANC leader.
