Kiambu Governor William Kabogo has asked MPs and Members of County Assembly (MCAs) to respect the governorship.

Speaking at Thika town yesterday, Kabogo expressed concerns saying that most of the area MPs have no respect for his seat.

He said that that the county government deserves respect from all leaders and residents, adding that some leaders continue to disrespect the county administrators.

“Kiambu leaders especially MPs and MCAs must learn to respect the governorship, don’t respect Kabogo but respect the county government,” he said.

Kabogo said that some leaders have in the openly disrespected the county by opposing development plans that are meant to uplift the living standards of the people.

The Governor noted that the county government was elected by residents and deserves respect just like other institutions of authority.

Kabogo further asked county leaders to stop criticisising him and instead offer counsel in an appropriate manner.

He said the county is committed to serve Kiambu people, urging locals to be on the frontline in demanding for services.
