Former powerful Minister Simeon Nyachae has challenged residents to respect incumbent leaders so that they can foster development.

Speaking at his home in Nyaosia on Monday during the burial ceremony of his wife Esther Nyachae, Mzee challenged residents to respect leaders so that they can foster development.

“I would like to challenge all of you to respect leaders whom you have elected to serve you, let us give them easy,” said Nyachae.

“We don’t need to heckle at our leaders once they stand to talk, let us give them time to speak and keep listening to what they want to talk to us,” added Nyachae.

Nyachae who is well known as the role model to many people in society more so leaders and once initiated and initiative of uniting the community in some years back he said that although he retired from politics he can as well as speak to the community whenever they go wrong.

“Although I retired from politics I cannot keep quite when things go wrong I can speak out so that we can help our community,” said Nyachae.

He also said that he is in full support to those who are unifying the Omogusii since it is the right thing for the community.

To the leaders, he asked them to avoid abusive language when talking  to each other or when addressing the residents.
