Speaking in his constituency on Sunday in company of Kanu leader Gideon Moi and Kanu secretary general Nick Salat, for a fund raiser in aid of Arorwet Catholic church, Cheruiyot accused the DP of disrespecting other Rift Valley leaders and sowing seads of discord.

"The DP must respect Moi and other leaders in the Rift Valley region," he said.

Kanu Secretary General hinted that Cheruiyot will be joining Kanu.

"Your MP is joining us. He is tired of hopping from one party to another but he is willing to come back to Kanu," Salat was quoted by the Star.

The three later headed to Bomet stadium for an interdenominational prayers to welcome Governor Isaac Ruto who had flown to South Africa for a specialised treatment.
