Former Prime Minster who is also ODM leader Raila Odinga has been challenged to respect Senator Chris Obure and quit fromGusii community affairs.
Speaking in a Kisii Hotel, a section of Opinion leaders from Kisii county on Tuesday challenged the former Prime Minister to respect Senator Chris obure and his team for initiating the Omogusii unity movement.
Led by Francis Omae they reminded Raila that Obure was the only leader from the Region who mobilised the community to vote for him in 2013 hence he deserves respect.
“We need Raila to respect our Senator Chris Obure who has come with an agenda of unifying the community, there communities are united but they don't want us to be united,” he said.
“We have nothing wrong with our leaders when they want to unite us, Raila should quit from matters affecting the community,” he added.
Markaton a youth leader from Nyaribari Chache who is also a leader said that it is time for Raila to support the Gusii community since the community has been behind him for many years.
This comes after the former Prime Minister on Monday made a stopover before heading to Migori where he made remarks which challenged the Omogusii unity agenda.
