Residents of Kisii County have been urged to stop victimizing those living with albinism.
According to a Kisii based musician Valen Bosibori, people living with albinism are also human beings.
“Albinism is not a curse. People living with albinism must be respected in the society and be given equal opportunity in terms of employment not only in Kisii County but also across the country,” she said.
Valen who is also an albino said nothing can stop her from reaching out to the community to ensure the people living with albinism are respected.
“I am out to defend people living with albinism which is also a disability. Albinos must be given equal chances to express themselves in the society," she said.
She also asked parents who have children suffering from albinism to take their kids to school.
Ms Bosibori asked Kisii County Minister for sports Duke Mainga to ensure that albinos are offered employment in the county.
