On Monday, while speaking at Uhuru Gardens in Nyamira County, Nyamira County Commissioner Isaiah Nakoru said disabled persons should be valued in society.
“It is bad and hurting to discriminate people living with disability. Such people should be exposed in society to enable them get financial support fro the government.
"Parents with disabled children should be proud of them and bring them out to join the rest in exposing their talents,” said Nakoru.
He asked local administrators to ensure all disabled persons are registered to get financial support from the government.
“A list of all disabled persons should be forwarded to plan well for them to get financial support fro the national government,” Nakoru noted.
