President Uhuru Kenyatta has reached out to Nairobi gubernatorial aspirant Peter Kenneth, asking him to back down from the governor's race.
The president told Kenneth to "accept the people's" choice and support Senator Mike Sonko in his bid to dethrone incumbent Evans Kidero of NASA.
”I want to ask Peter Kenneth to respect the people’s will,” he said.
President Kenyatta also asked Nairobi residents to cast their votes resoundingly for "Super Senator Sakaja" and the County Woman Rep Rachel Shebesh as well as MCA's vying on a Jubilee ticket.
He warned the electorate against dividing the Jubilee vote as was in 2013 where JImnah Mbaru and Ferdinand Waititu fought for the same seat.
”We know you have suffered under the current county leadership but we assure you that Sonko and his team will rectify that.”
