The Nakuru West lawmaker was reacting to recent heckling from the opposition MPs as Uhuru made his State of the Nation speech in the Parliament which he termed as childish and meaningless in as much as fostering development is concerned.

‘Everyone must respect the President regardless of whether you like him or not because he is our overall leader, you must respect the office of the presidency,’ Arama stated.

The MP who is was elected with an ODM ticket before recently defecting to  Jubilee, also accused the ODM party leader Raila Odinga of defending the unacceptable act by the lawmakers rather than working for peace and unity.

‘It is a shame to hear Mr  Odinga defend the MPs for their deeds which he himself would not accept if he was the president. We must appreciate what the government has done for this country and not criticising everything and throwing blames just for the sake of it,’ Arama further added.

The Nakuru West MP was speaking on Tuesday in his constituency during a requiem mass for a constituent.
