Kisumu Central Constituency, Jubilee party point man James Waore Dianga, has called on NASA supporters to observe democratic rights of other voters.
Waore said the threat to boycott the upcoming presidential election slated for next week should not infringe on the rights of other voters.
“It is your right not to vote but don’t deny that person who is ready to exercise his or her democratic right to vote,” he said.
The one time parliamentary aspirant in the constituency said Kenyans fought hard for democracy and such gains should not be washed away.
He said that in NASA strong hold s there are other voters who support different presidential candidates who are taking part in the poll.
Waore said NASA supporters should not interfere with those who will want to cast their votes and those not interested to stay away.
He lauded Raila Odinga, the NASA leader for his fight to liberate Kenyans noting that the democracy he fought for should s, let democracy prevail at all the times.
“What we need is a conducive environment for any other who intends to cast their votes, let democracy guides us, we came from far and should not wish to go back to the dark days,” he said.
Waore spoke as returning officers and their deputies attending training session by IEBC in parts of Kisumu County were attacked and chased away.
Waore said such actions derails the gains made in the fight against liberations and should be discarded.
