Nyamira Governor John Nyagarama has been asked to restructure his county government to end corruption.
This comes after six officers who are allegedly involved in corruption and misuse of public funds are under investigation.
Speaking on Sunday during a fundraising at Riakegongi catholic church, leaders from national government from Nyamira lead by Kitutu Masaba MP Timothy Bosire urged Nyagarama to restructure his leadership so that to end up corruption allegations in the county.
Bosire said that it is important for the leadership of the county to be transparent so that citizens can benefit from the resources.
“Our leadership in Nyamira needs to be structured for the better of developments since it is the mandate of governance to make sure that all goes well,” the MP said.
Leaders called on the governor to ensure that all corrupt officers are sent home and be replaced with those who want to move the county ahead.
The leaders said they need the county to be free from corruption so that the development can be achieved in the area.
