The Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) now says results for the Thursday repeat presidential election will be projected live at all constituency tallying centres.

IEBC also says media will be free to take photos of the duly filled forms 34A's and B's.

Addressing the press at the IEBC North Rift offices at Kenmosa Village in the outskirts of Eldoret town on Tuesday, Uasin Gishu County IEBC Returning Officer Jacktone Nyonje said preparations for the Thursday poll are almost complete.

He said distribution of ballot papers to polling stations will begin as early as 11am Wednesday.

"We will begin by transporting the ballot papers to far flung areas of the county and we expect that by latest 6PM all the officials and election materials should be at the polling station," Nyonje said.

"We have been working closely with the security team and also trained our officers so we are good to go," he added.

Polling centres are expected to be opened at 6am and closed at 5pm.

"After polls are closed what will happen is that as constituency returning officers will be tallying the results as they trickle in, they will be projected live for the media and public to see. There will be nothing to hide," Nyonje said.

Uasin Gishu County has 6 constituencies, 868 polling stations with 450,055 registered voters.
