Kisii county Senator Chris Obure and Bobasi Member of Parliament Steve Manoti have been challenged to retire from active politics before electorates send them home in 2017
South Mugirango Member of Parliament Manson Nyamweya said the two have been in politics for long participating as leaders without changes in development and they have done nothing that they will leave behind as a legacy.
The MP said the time has come when youths should be given an opportunity in leadership to participate and do developments for the electorates.
“I request Obure and Manoti with the respect I have for them to retire from active politics before electorates send them home which will be a shameful,” MP Nyamweya said during an interview conducted on Tuesday on local station (Egesa Fm)
Nyamweya said the two have realised that they might lose in the next general election 2017 and that is why they masqueraded as unity proposers through the ‘Obomo Bw’omogusii movement.
“Let them retire or be sent home in 2017 we need new leadership and youths to be given an opportunity to lead this nation,” he added.
