Oyioka speaking outside Kisii law courts on Tuesday after a Kisii Court upheld his win said Opore should respect the will of the people.

"Abanchari spoke in one voice on August 8, 2017 by electing me. Opore should stop imposing himself on the people who don't want him. Let him enjoy pension and join his agemates in the village," he said.

Oyioka assured constituents that he will deliver as by his campaign pledges.

"I will ensure the region develops  in my tenure. Opponents who will be seeking the seat in 2022  should join me we work together during my term," stated Oyioka.

He accused the former MP for making efforts to frustrate him while the petition was ongoing in court.

"Opore has been going round the constituency claiming he will take Bonchari by storm. Let us see where he will take it now. He is a resident and I am ready to serve him," he added.
