Speaking on phone Thursday morning, Anasi challenged politicians seeking elected positions in Nyamira to shun from such tendencies, and instead respect those in office.

"Elected leaders must be respected and this tendency of local politicians hiring goons to boo leaders in public functions in an effort of embracing those in power is a fallen culture and we must condemn it because there is no leader who elects himself to office and we must respect that," said Anasi.

He further challenged politicians seeking elective positions in the county to trade carefully on their politicking by conducting mature politics if indeed they want to be respected.

"I am also harbouring political ambitions to vie for the gubernatorial seat in Nyamira, but that does not mean that I am out to undermine the current governor, and this is why I challenge other politicians to conduct mature politics if indeed they want to be respected someday," added Anasi.

This comes after youths booed Governor John Nyagarama during the president's visit to Nyamira at Kebirigo Market two weeks ago.
