If you thought NASA Presidential candidate Raila Amolo Odinga is not romantic then you are very wrong. A photo of opposition leader passionately kissing his wife has sparked excitement among Kenyans on social media. It is, however, not clear when and where the photograph was taken.
In the picture, the opposition leader is seen ‘exchanging pleasantries’ with his wife, Ida Odinga, a holder of Bachelors degree from the University of Nairobi. Despite his tight political schedule, the opposition leader has managed to raise a family that many have lived to admire.
Until his demise, Raila’s son Fidel was considered one of the most promising youthful leaders in this nation. His daughter Rosemary had hinted at contesting for the Kibra Parliamentary seat but he opted to shelf his ambition for the sake of his father’s presidency.
The opposition leader has been creating time to be with his family on special occasions including his birthdays. As we draw closer to the fresh election, Raila is confident that he will ascend to power. He has, however, maintained that he will not take part in the fresh election unless the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) meet his demands.
The opposition wants the commission to implement a number of reforms including replacing of officials thought to have had a hand in August bungled polls.
