Over one million shillings were collected at the gate during the Sunday's Super Cup clash between bitter rivals Gor Mania and AFC Leopards at the Afraha Stadium.Timam Ticketing Company which was in charge of the gate collections during the Mashemeji derby collected sh1,033,900.Soka.co.ke reports that the company collected sh134,500 from the Very Important People (VIP) section while the terraces area popularly known as Russia had a total of sh899,400.Of the total gate collections, sh259,305 was spent on expenditures where Timam ticketing Company received sh155,055, the match announcer went home with sh1,500, ball boys were paid sh5,000 while sh6,000 was paid for the public address system.The security team went home with sh36,750 for the services provided while Afraha Stadium management was paid sh55,000.AFC Leopards and Gor Mahia shared among themselves sh774, 595.Ko'galo as Gor Mahia are popularly known won the Super Cup clash thanks to a solitary goal by the Kenya Premier League's (KPL) captain Haron Shakava.Super Cup is normally played one week before Kenya Premier begins.
