ODM National Chairman John Mbadi has revealed the official amount of money each Member of Parliament will contribute towards presidential campaigns.
IEBC has set October 17th as the date for Raila Odinga and President Uhuru Kenyatta’s presidential elections repeat.
After a 5-hrs meeting at Wiper headquarters in Lavington, all members agreed to contribute towards the campaigns.
“We have held a successful meeting and we have agreed that first time MPs will pay Sh200, 000 while those who have served for more than two terms will pay Sh500, 000.
“The figure is affordable and I am happy that we have reached an agreement. Payments will be done in our respective party accounts,” he said.
On top of that, the opposition team also asked well wishers to support the campaigns through a paybill number.
Along with Senators, NASA will have almost 200 MPs both elected and nominated contributing towards the course.
